The Camino Frances

To the old town
Through the Notre-Dame-du-bout-du-pont and into the old town.
Rue de l'Espagne
Tourists and pilgrims mingle
Accueil pèlerin
At the door of 39 rue de la citadel. The information centre for pilgrims.
One of many hostels for pilgrims
Sadly, the sign says "full."
A place to stay for the night
No reservations required. At 55 rue de la Citadelle.
An alternative to a hostel: a "gite"
A gite is traditionally a cottage-style hotel in a French rural setting.
Countryside
Tranquil. Picturesque.
